The
Eastern Pennsylvania Organizing Project [EPOP] is a democratic
faith-based organization of 25 congregations, parent associations
and neighborhood institutions representing more than 50,000 families.
Through a process of leadership development and community organizing,
EPOP establishes itself as a positive force to bring about change
in the community. We are working for safer streets, improved city
services, greater education opportunities for young people and adults,
region-wide dialogue, immigrant-friendly services, and public and
private reinvestment in our neighborhoods.
The purpose of this web site is to
share information about EPOP's organizing
efforts and connect people to useful information and ideas relevant
to the challenges facing Eastern Pennsylvania and other urban/suburban
neighborhoods. You can learn more about the diverse services we
provide to the communities of Philadelphia by using the navigation
on the left.
EPOP is
a member of
PICO,
A National Network of Faith-Based Community Organizations.
